Tragwyddol glod i'r Cyfiawn

1,2;  1,3,4.
(Dadleuwr yn y nef)
Tragwyddol glod i'r Cyfiawn
  Fu farw tros fy mai;
Fe adgyfododd eilwaith
  O'r bedd i'm cyfiawnhau:
Ar orsedd ei drugaredd
  Mae'n dadleu yn y ne'
Ei fywyd a'i farwolaeth
  Anfeidrol yn fy lle.

Ni cheisiai'n wyneb Moses
  Un ffrynd i ddadleu 'nghwyn,
Ond Iesu'r cyfaill ffyddlon
  Fu farw er fy mwyn:
Yn ymchwydd yr Iorddonen,
  Ac yn y farn a ddaw,
Diangol yn y diwedd
  A fyddaf yn ei law.

Er gwaetha'r maen a'r milwyr,
  Cyfododd Iesu'n fyw;
Daeth yn ei law alluog
  A phardwn dynol-ryw;
Gwnaeth etifeddion uffern,
  Yn etifeddion nef;
Fy enaid byth na thawed
  A chanu iddo ef.

Ni fedr daear ganu,
  A'u holl soniarus lef,
Caniadau cyn felysed,
  Fydd yn ei gwm'ni ef;
Yn awr holl nef y nefoedd,
  Mewn un hyfrydaf dôn,
A seiniant yn gyttunol,
  Ogoniant mawr yr Oen.

gwelir:
Er gwaetha'r maen a'r milwyr
  Er gwaetha'r maen a'r milwyr dig
Fyth fyth rhyfeddai'r cariad
Ni [cheisia'i yn / cheisia'n] wyneb Moses
Ni fedr daear ganu
Yr Iesu adgyfododd

(An advocate in heaven)
Eternal praise to the righteous one
  Who died for my sin;
He rose again
  From the grave to justify me:
On the throne of his mercy
  He is pleading in heaven
His life and his immeasurable
  Death in my place.

No friend in the face of Moses
  Would seek to plead my complaint,
But Jesus the faithful friend
  Who died for my sake:
In the swelling of the Jordan,
  And in the coming judgment,
Safe in the end
  I shall be in his hand.

Despite the stone and the soldiers,
  Jesus rose alive;
He brought in his powerful hand
  Pardon for human-kind;
He make the heirs of hell,
  Into the heirs of heaven;
May may soul never be silent
  But sing unto him.

The earth is unable to sing,
  With all their resounding cry,
Songs as sweet,
  As will be in his company;
Now all the heaven of heavens,
  In one most delightful tune,
Are sounding in agreement,
  The great glory of the Lamb.
